How is the Holy is present in church design?

Goal

Students will learn the to identify the theology behind the placement of primary symbols and how to catechize from the design of the worship space.

Content

Students will explore the difference between a space designed for devotion and one designed for participation. The will evaluate an actual worship space and discuss how it supports or detracts from the liturgical mandate of full and active participation.
